Massage Therapy Services

This is a rudimentary description of the massage therapy services that we offer. On some level, all of our massages have their roots in what we know. Massage is our passion as well as our profession and all of our massages are catered specifically to you. More on what massage therapy is to me.

Light to deep pressure is applied to the facial and forehead muscles, sinus cavities, upper and lower neck, upper back, and shoulders.  Studies have shown that just two massages a week, consisting of thirty minutes each will significantly reduce the frequency, severity, and duration of chronic tension headache sufferers.

Couples Massage

One of the most in demand services we offer. Two people are massaged in the same room, at the same time, by us, a husband and wife team. You don’t necessarily have to be a romantic couple. A “couple” can be a husband and wife, girlfriend and boyfriend, same-sex partners, or even moms and daughters or best friends.

Deep Tissue Massage

Deep tissue massage is normally used in conjunction with many other styles.

It is different in that the pressure is consistently deeper and works the muscle tissue below the superficial layers.  This style of massage can be beneficial for chronic or acute pain and is not recommended for people who have never had massage.

Trigger Point Therapy

Most muscle and joint pain arise from the malfunctioning of the musculoskeletal and nervous systems.  This type of massage is used to balance these two systems and focus on specific points of discomfort, called trigger points, which are tender when pressure is applied and refer signals to other areas of the body.  Neuromuscular therapy is generally used only with people who have had bodywork before and plan to be consistent in their treatment.

Myofascial Release

Fascia is a tough connective tissue spread throughout the body that supports the muscular, skeletal and immune systems.  Fascial restrictions lead to structural imbalances, which can lead to injury.  Myofascial Release work, which uses long stretching strokes, releases muscular tension, increases range of motion and relieves pain.

Hot Stone Massage

This style of bodywork uses hot stones to massage the body.  The combination of heat therapy and massage reduces muscular tension, soothes the nervous system and relieves stress and emotional fatigue.  Hot stone massage is a wonderful choice for people who experience high stress and constant muscular tension.  This therapy will completely relax the mind and the body.
